This is just a place to dump information that I find interesting about literally anything... I might organise/sort these later, but now I'm programming on the phone so I'm not gonna make it cute (。ノω\。)... Also, this is not a wiki because I argue and make comments inside the fact paragraphs, so do not believe everything and check it first!

Hummingbirds need 3-7kcal a day, which in a human scale would be around 155000kcal; for ratio, an average human consumes from 1000 to 2000kcal a day.

Crows are believed to have some base level of consciousness in the sense that they are aware of themselves in a similar way to us; they haven't been proved to have a developed consciousness, but I think it can be possible due to their high intelligence...

A folly is basically a building with no actual purpose. They are mainly built for decoration, but essentially serve us with nothing. Looking at different follies, I discovered that they're all so beautiful and attractive to me. The folly examples on the Wikipedia page for it cause me a sensation that was only awakened within me by cathedrals, basilicas, shrines, and brutalist buildings such as the Panorama Hotel.

The Ampelmännchen consist of the German traffic light symbol of a man, it will be red and standing if you shouldn't cross the road or green and walking to the left if you should cross the road. It is a cultural symbol of sorts and is part of a movement called Ostalgia (maybe translated to something as "Westalgia" as a portmanteau of "West" and "nostalgia").
